HSE Manager

Location: Richmond, VA

 Relocation Available: Yes

 Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 p.a.

 Privately-held global leader in aluminum rolled and extruded products, aluminum recycling and specification alloy production with more than 40 production facilities in the Americas, Europe and Asia is seeking to add an experienced HSE Manager for its team at their Richmond, Virginia facility.
The HSE Manager is responsible for driving continuous improvement and employee involvement in the facility’s Health, Safety, and Environmental programs. The HSE Manager will lead all aspects of environmental protection and employee health and safety in a manner that supports the Corporate HSE Policy; this includes the development, implementation, enforcement and auditing of HSE systems within the operations.

 Responsibilities Include:

  • Obtain and maintain up-to-date knowledge in aspects of Safety and Environmental regulations and compliance reporting.
  • Prepare and provide regular progress reports to the plant leadership team and to the corporate office.
  • Actively drive the plant’s efforts in continually improving the safety performance of the plant by chairing the plant wide Safety Committee, lead monthly plant safety meetings, conducting plant safety walk-arounds.
  • Work with the plant supervisors in preparing and conducting monthly crew safety meetings.
  • Develop, upgrade and implement the necessary training programs and systems to ensure compliance with State and Federal agency regulations and company requirements.
  • Take a leadership role in the implementation of best practices that focus on the prevention of incidents creating safe working environment for all employees, contractors and visitors to the plant sites.
  • Take a proactive leadership role in identifying and resolving environmental issues that may arise, fully engaging all appropriate personnel in the process.
  • Communicate with and maintain professional relationships with environmental agency personnel regarding construction and operating permit issues, negotiating potential compliance issues and enforcement actions. Serve as the company representative during any agency inspections of the facility, coordinating these events with the Plant Manager and the Director, HSE.
  • Review and maintain all environmental permits, files, and documents. Understand all permit obligations and assure that systems are in place to meet all permit and regulatory requirements, assuring that all reporting is done on time and that all reports are accurate.
  • Actively participate with Corporate HSE on special projects, including training and participating as a HSE internal auditor.
  • Request quotes, seek purchase approval and lead plant projects as they relate to any required safety equipment and training activities.
  • Perform the duties as the primary contact between State Workers Compensation and facility, responsibilities include providing timely and accurate reports when required and working with Company’s insurance management function.
  • Primary contact for environmental consultants/vendors.
  • Provide HSE assistance to the capital project managers and sponsors in the preparation of capital requests (AFEs) and complete reviews to assure that all capital projects are compliant with all regulatory and company requirements.
  • Assist the Plant Manager in maintaining a positive relationship with the local community.

 Required Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree and minimum of five (5) years related experience in a manufacturing environment. Equivalent combination of education and directly related experience will be considered.
Possess general knowledge and proficiency in general business and the ability to use computer applications, such as spreadsheets, word processing documents, databases and email programs.
Possess the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Area Sales Representatives - Nationwide

Major US industrial roofing company requires professional and experienced outside sales reps for territories nationwide. The candidate will be required to canvass construction companies, architects, building managers and owners, as well as engineers, with the goal of developing new business and the employers presence in the assigned territory.
The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years outside sales experience. A college degree is desirable. The employer is offering a base salary of $65,000 + 25 % commission on ALL sales. Territory Sales Manager - North East

Major NJ based industrial roofing contractor requires a territory sales manager to sell the company’s roofing solutions to building owners, supervisors, architects and local government engineers. The company is well established and perhaps more importantly is well funded. The company is expanding rapidly and need a great sales rep to help continue this growth.

The position is perfect for that person wishing to join a solid company with great prospects. The ideal candidate must have a very strong outside sales background and experience in the commercial roofing arena. Related fields that might be considered include industrial, construction and big ticket sales.

The territory encompasses the east coast but is not limited to just that area, the candidate’s ability to sell will further increase the territory. The candidate’s proximity to the company’s headquarters in Southern New Jersey is not crucial, the candidate will be able to work remotely, however attendance at monthly HQ sales meetings will be required. Experience with long sales cycles is also very important, selling roofing solutions can take several months due to the nature of the products and projects involved.

Overnight travel will be required, however this is again dependent on the incumbents own sales goals and strategies. The company is offering an excellent package with a starting salary of $60k per annum in addition, there is commission up to 2%. CAD Drafting Technicians - Nationwide

Large Alabama-based industrial metal building company requires CAD Drafter Technicians. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well established company and advance in the field of CAD.

The position will require the incumbent to provide computer generated erection drawings, shop drawings and bills of material compatible to each building. Verify that computer generated drawings, details and tallies comply with engineering design and with the customer’s purchase order. Determine which views and details of a project are required to describe the fabrication and erection of the parts detailed, and preparation of the tallies for use by manufacturing in gathering and fabricating the parts required to complete the order.

Experience of metal building systems and working directly with a design Civil Engineer are essential, also a solid comprehension of mathematics is a must.
